Description
TCS GrowStar™ professional combination fertilizers are blended with premium nutrients and a selection of the most advanced control ingredients available.
This fertilizer and herbicide combination contains Prodiamine. Prodiamine is a pre-emergent herbicide that can help prevent weeds from growing in established turfgrass and ornamentals. It works by stopping weed seeds from germinating before they can sprout from the soil. Prodiamine can be used in the spring and fall to control weeds like crabgrass and annual bluegrass, and can be effective against other weeds such as henbit, cheatgrass, goosegrass, spurge, and chickweed. The rate of active ingredient on the label determines the length of effective weed prevention. See label for the list of weeds prevented and approved grass types.
This product contains ALL-N™, an advanced urease inhibitor that reduces nitrogen loss through volatilization, keeping more nitrogen in the soil where turf can use it. In broadcast applications, untreated urea can lose a large portion of nitrogen as ammonia. ALL-N™ helps protect urea until rainfall or irrigation moves it into the soil.
